One of The Avondhu’s most experienced fire fighters has spoken about the life saving capabilities of Eircodes.
Bob Dalton, Station Officer of Mitchelstown Fire Brigade, has called on residents across the region to use Eircodes to help emergency services get to call-outs faster.
Every home and business in the country has an assigned Eircode, which can be obtained from eircode.ie.
Not just making life easier for online shoppers, Bob said that emergency services have seen their response times to rural areas revolutionised.
“The Eircodes are incredibly effective for us. All the caller has to do on 999 or 112 is tell the call taker their Eircode and it will bring us right to their door.
