EASTER MASS TIMES

Mass times for week ending Easter Sunday, 31 March, 2013 at St Andrew’s Church, Kilfinane. Monday – Wednesday 9.30am. Holy Thursday, 28 March (Mass of the Lord’s Supper) 7.30pm (followed by adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until 9.30pm, with Confession from 8.30 to 9.30pm).

Good Friday, 29 March – Liturgy of The Passion 3pm. Stations of The Cross 6pm. Holy Saturday, 30 March Easter Vigil Mass 8pm. Easter Sunday, 31 March – 9am and 11am Mass.

Readers for Easter Ceremonies – Holy Thursday, 28 March 7.30pm Ann Ryan. Good Friday, 29 March 3pm Mary Fox. Holy Saturday, 30 March 8pm Easter Vigil Mass: Ann Flynn, Ann Ryan Mary Cullinane. Easter Sunday, 31 March 9am Mass Hannah Boland. Easter Sunday, 31 March 11am Mass Hannah Boland.

SYMPATHY

Sincere sympathy is extended to Catherine O’Doherty (Bosnetstown) on the death of her mother, Mrs Kitty Bracken (Kennigad, Co Westmeath) which occurred last week. May she rest in peace.

CONGRATULATIONS GAA CLUB LOTTO WINNER

Congratulations to David Healy, Main Street, who won the Blackrock GAA Club lotto jackpot prize of €3,800 in the draw held on Wednesday night, 20 March. The numbers drawn were, 3, 11, 14 and 23.

YOUTH CLUB

The Beanbag Youth Club will be starting up in Kilfinane in the next few weeks, if anybody is interested in being a volunteer or helping out in the youth club, please contact David Moloney on 085 1312097.

KILFINANE COMMUNITY ALERT

Kilfinane Community Alert in conjunction with the town council. There has been a marked increase in burglaries in the town and residential houses and farms in the surrounding area, since the closure of our Garda station. It is up to the community to be more alert and report any suspicious activity or vehicles to the Gardai in Bruff – 061 382940. The other emergency service numbers are 999 or 112.

KILFINANE COSHLEA HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Kilfinane Coshlea Histotical Society are holding a Lecture and Talk in Ballinvreena Community Hall on next Thursday, 4 April at 8.30pm. The lecture will be on castles and fortified houses in the Coshlea and surrounding area. The lecture will be given by Joseph Lennon, Historian. All are welcome, admission €5.

LIMERICK’S GOT TALENT

Calling all singers, dancers, bands, choirs, variety acts and songwriters the search is now on for the new stars of Limerick in our 5th annual competition which takes place at Limetree Theatre, Mary Immaculate College from 20 – 23 August.
