The Parents’ Association at Watergrasshill National School has presented a cheque for €32,000 to the school as part of the fundraising campaign for their new astro-turf pitch.

The money was raised through the successfully staged Watergrasshill Family Fun Festival held over the June bank holiday.

The area, adjacent to the new school extension, was originally meant to be paved over, but the school decided to use the opportunity, while construction work on the school was being undertaken . . .
