Beautiful Doneraile Park was the venue for Share A Dream’s fundraising ‘Dream Walk’ on Sunday last, July 6th, consisting of a 5Km walk/run around the scenic park grounds.

Voice of Ireland star and singer, Keith Hanley was on hand to welcome young and old alike to the grounds, with the weather holding reasonably well for participants to enjoy the social occasion.

The Share a Dream Foundation, which was founded by Shay Kinsella in 1989, helps hundreds of families annually throughout Ireland to escape from their everyday lives and just have fun. Some of the events they hold include concerts, trips to Disneyland, the National Children of Courage Awards and Dream Ball and family holidays. All with the aim of making many individual dreams come true for terminally ill children.

The Doneraile event is one of several such events organised nationwide, and the turnout on the day was very encouraging. Also, the Foundation’s ‘Dream Machine’ was present on the day. Consisting of a wonderful colourful themed interior and exterior of marine life, music, arts complete with lights and full music system, it’s an amazing sight and always lights up the eyes of every child.
