A love of children led Bridget Racz to start up the community preschool playgroup in Doneraile 30 years ago. It’s still going strong with Bridget still at the helm.

Generations of local families have now passed through the community facility where the emphasis is on nurturing young children in a caring environment. The facility established an excellent reputation for quality childcare, one that’s been maintained to this day.

The group operates from 9am to 12noon from Monday to Friday in Doneraile Community Hall on the Main Street.

Bridget started the playgroup three decades ago with eight or nine children. This year she had 12. The group qualifies for the Government’s free year of early childhood care and education, something which she says has been a big help for parents in recent years.
