Musical siblings Stew and Leanne Dixon from Ballyporeen are all set to perform in their first home concert, as they will be taking to the stage in Ballyporeen Community Centre next week.

Both Stew and Leanne perform their own original music, as well as popular covers and they would regularly be seen performing in Mitchelstown, Fermoy, Cork and across Munster, but on November 7, it will be their first time performing in their own village.

Stew released his debut EP 'The Animals' in April and his sister Leanne released her debut EP 'Slide Away, Sail Away' a month later and since then, the two have been separately gigging and promoting their original music, which has been very well received.

Their styles would be very different and both have garnered widespread radio play for their original tracks.

Stew told The Avondhu that they are looking forward to performing at home, as it is a way for people in the locality to listen to their music and see what they have to offer. The siblings will perform separately on the night.

Tickets for the show are just €10 and are already selling well, so they are hoping that people will come out to support them on what is a special night for them. Tickets are available from Ballyporeen Post Office, from Pat Russell's shop and on the door that night, the show starts at 8pm.
