Watergrasshill 2-15 Tynagh-Abbey/Duniry 0-18
This was a thrilling AIB All-Ireland Intermediate hurling final at Croke Park on Sunday. Very little separated two evenly matched sides that seemed to be going to extra time when level 1-15 to 0-18 deep in injury time.
Sean Desmond's goal in the final minute however, sealing the title for the Cork champions. Over the entire game, the sides were deadlocked on 7 occasions.
David Jordan opened the scoring for 'Abbey' in the first minute. Shane Moloney followed with a pointed free. Good play by Sean Desmond led to a 'Hill point from Anthony Cronin.
