Rathcormac man Denny Howard who won two gold medals recently at the Masters Track and Field Championships in Tullamore.

Showing in the best possible way that sporting prowess is not the reserve of the young, Rathcormac man Denny Howard brought home two gold medals from the Masters Track and Field Championships held recently in Tullamore.

Denny's win came in the 0-85 age category in the Hammer and 28lb for distance event. He was also the recipient of four certificates confirming his Irish records in the Hammer, Discus, Shot Putt and 28lb distance events which he achieved in 2010.

Denny, from Garrynacole, Rathcormac was on the receiving end of hearty congratulations from his club, Rising Sun AC.
