A deer made its way into the grounds of Ballylanders National School earlier this week, causing a minor stir in the village.
It is understood that this deer may be ‘known locally’ as a similar appearance was made last year on the Ballylanders GAA grounds when players returned to training following the lockdown.
Gardaí in Ballylanders attended the scene at 12 noon on Wednesday, according to a spokesperson for An Garda Síochana.
“Three members of An Garda Síochana assisted with members of the public, safely removed a deer from the grounds of a premises to Limerick Animal Welfare in Moorestown, Kilfinane,” the spokesperson said.
