Coláiste an Chraoibhín student, Dara Murphy Young, got a chance to learn from a master when he took part in a creative art and doodle class given by Kevin Laughlin, a doodler with Google who travelled from California last week.

Dara was one of 70 regional winners from across Ireland who made their way to Google's European headquarters in Dublin on Thursday last, to find out if their doodle had been selected as the overall winner of Google's Irish Doodle 4 Google competition.

While Dara didn't win the competition, he was pleased to get the opportunity to take part in the masterclass. He was also presented with a framed copy of his doodle and a Google goody bag.

The overall winner was Annie Coyle from St Bernadette's Special School in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. Annie's doodle was seen by millions of people when it appeared on the Google Ireland homepage on Tuesday last, April 16.
