Co-Op Superstores, the retail division of Dairygold, continue to deepen their connection to their local community by announcing their title sponsorship of the Co-Op Superstores Raceday at Cork Racecourse Mallow on Sunday, 15th October.

This is the sixth successive year of the successful sponsorship of the race day by Co-Op Superstores.

The first of a seven race jumps card is currently due to go to post at 2pm on the day, while the feature race on Sunday, 15th October is the www.coopsuperstores.ie Handicap Chase (Grade B) with a prize fund of €45,000. The 2-mile 1 furlong contest was won by the Willie Mullins trained Fan De Blues last year.

DAIRYGOLD PROUD TO SUPPORT

Eoghan O’Grady, General Manager at Cork Racecourse Mallow said: “Here at Cork Racecourse Mallow we are very proud of the long-standing successful association with Co-Op Superstores. They are at the heart of the community here in Mallow and we very much look forward to welcoming the team from Co-Op Superstores and their guests to the racecourse on Sunday, 15th October”.

John O’Carroll, Head of Retail at Co-op Superstores said: “We are delighted to partner with Cork Racecourse for the sixth year as sponsors of the Co-Op Superstores Raceday. It is always a great sporting occasion and an opportunity to bring people together from far and wide. “The Co-Op Superstores Raceday is an event that many of our Co-Op members, our customers, staff and families throughout Munster and beyond, look forward to every autumn and we wish the team at Cork Racecourse the very best of luck with the day and the rest of the national hunt season.”
