Local councillors in the Fermoy Municpal District are due to meet with Superintendant Michael McGuire and Sergeant James Hallahan in Fermoy Town Hall next Tuesday to discuss traffic problems in Fermoy.

The chairman of Fermoy Municipal Authority Cllr Frank O'Flynn, feels that traffic congestion in Fermoy has become very prevalent especially in the last six months due to an increased number of jobs in the area and the gradual economic upturn. 

It is hoped that the meeting with the local Gardaí may lead to a solution on how traffic congestion can be alleviated.
