Cork County Council has outlined its proposals for additional housing at Beechfield Estate in Fermoy, which includes the construction of nine new housing units.
The proposals, presented to members of the Fermoy Municipal Authority on Tuesday, also include transforming a number of one-story flats into two-floor houses.
Eoin McElroy and Greg Collins, from the Council’s Architects department, said the Council are conscious of concerns over the loss of green area space and its latest proposal focuses on limiting the impact on the green areas within the estate.
