Following several serious and high-profile TB incidents in the county, West Cork ICMSA and North & East Cork ICMSA have come together to schedule a meeting to be held in The Castle Hotel, Macroom, on Thursday,  January 10th,  beginning at 7.30pm sharp.

The meeting will be addressed by Department of Agriculture, Fisheries & Marine officials, Colm Forde and Eoin Ryan and will provide an expert update to Cork farmers concerned by the outbreaks and the response procedure that follows.

The meeting will be jointly chaired by Tom Wilson, Enniskeane, chair of West Cork and Maurice Walsh, Mitchelstown, chair of North & East Cork ICMSA. Both individuals have appealed to farmers to attend and start the year on a positive and engaged note.

The meeting was organised at short notice in response to the widespread anxiety felt throughout the county as the current rash of outbreaks shows no signs of abating.
