This Friday night, the heat is on, as head chef from O Crualaois in Fermoy, Joe Geoghegan will be taking to the stage in The Firgrove Hotel for the Christmas cookery demonstration in aid of St Fanahan's College.

Christmas dinner can be a daunting task, but on Friday, November 15, Joe, with the help of Paul O'Neill will be showing people how to transform their ordinary festive meal into a mouth watering gourmet feast.

Joe will be demonstrating a number of festive meal ideas and also giving people some everyday cooking tips, while people can purchase a recipe book so that they will have the tips, recipes and hints to hand.

On the night, there will also be a mulled wine reception, samples from food cooked on the night and wine tastings.

This is the school's biggest fundraiser of the year and so far, tickets have been selling really well.

The money raised on the night will be used by the Parent's Council to have wifi in all of the classroom and across the whole school.

There will be a raffle on the night with some great prizes, the event begins at 8pm sharp and tickets for just €10 are available from O Crualaois in Fermoy, Farrell's Centra in Mitchelstown and from any member of St Fanahan's Parent's Council or from the school.
