The winner of the Lotto Plus 2 draw on Saturday, September 7th in Conna has come forward, collecting his €250,000 prize at the National Lottery headquarters in Dublin on Tuesday.

The man and his wife have chosen not to reveal their identity. The National Lottery would only say that they are from County Cork.

The couple had a glass of champagne at the National Lottery offices on Tuesday to celebrate their win. They matched the six numbers in the Lotto Plus 2 draw to win the top prize. The man's delighted wife said it had been a special year for them so far and the win was 'the icing on the cake'.

The lucky ticket was a €4 Quickpick bought in English's Food Store in Conna.

"We're delighted that a winner has come forward to claim the prize," Tom English of English's Food Store said in response to the news. "It's great news and myself and Kaye wish them all the best. We're thrilled to have had a winning ticket bought in the store."
