Conna Dramatic Society are gearing up as they prepare to stage three one act plays in the local community centre over two weekends. 

On the first weekend (October 25/26), two of the three will be staged and these are ‘The Dear Departed’ and ‘The Whole Shebang’ which are being directed by Brendan Hurley. Then on the second weekend (November 1/2), ‘The Whole Shebang’ will again be staged along with ‘The Hero’ which is in the capable hands of Philip Peet.

The cast of ‘The Dear Departed’ includes John Leahy, Ann Gough, Peter Barry, Kevin Hayes Gemma Patterson and making her debut is young Jennifer Bryan. ‘The Whole Shebang’ has a mix of young and old – Ann Hurley, Aoife Hurley, Mary O’Connor, Helen Bennett, John Finn, Hannah Munier, Ellen Byrne, Laura Hayes and Tony Curtin, while ‘Hero’ includes Emer Martin, George Peet and Maria Barry in the cast.

‘The Whole Shebang’ is destined for the Castlelyons One Act Festival in November.
