A basic introduction to computers course for the over 55s will take place from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at the social centre in Conna on Wednesday November 13, hosted by the Avondhu Blackwater Partnership.
The course will be of interest to anyone who'd like to learn how to use email, surf the Internet, join a social networking site, learn about Internet security, or be able to contact family and friends through Skype.
With banks encouraging people to use internet banking, cars being taxed online and other services widely available and with many people now using apps on Ipad and tablets as well as accessing the internet to stay in touch with family, the course is timely.
