Coláiste an Chraoibhín, Fermoy are organising a 5km fun run/walk on Thursday, November 6. This is a community event that invites all staff, students, their families and the wider community, to an event which begins and ends at the school.

The idea for a fun run/walk came from the school's parents' association, who are fully supporting the run and have worked tirelessly to bring it to fruition. The association expresses special thanks to Julie Nolan who is training teachers and parents on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the event. The Transition Year class in the school are helping with the organisation and all proceeds will go to the TY fund.

General registration will take place on Wednesday, November 5, from 4pm to 6.30pm at Coláiste an Chraoibhín.  Registration on Thursday, November 6, the evening of the run, finishes at 6.45pm. The walk begins at 7pm, while the run gets under way at 7.30pm. Entry fee is €5 per student, €7 per adult and €15 for a family. The event has received sponsorship from SuperValu, LAYA Healthcare, Centra, McCarthy Insurance Group and Blackwater Motors.
