A second year class of CSPE students from Coláiste an Chraoibhín in Fermoy along with their teacher Ger Gibbons, paid a visit to Fermoy Town Council chambers on Tuesday. The students are learning about how democracy works as a CSPE project for their Junior Cert.

So, as part of their project they are visiting the seats of local, county and national government. They’ve already completed their visit to Cork County Council’s chambers and will follow the Fermoy Town Council visit with one to the Dáil.

Mayor Michael Hanley was on hand to welcome them at the Town Hall on Tuesday, as were local councillors Noel McCarthy and Tadhg O’Donovan.
