Co Cavan group wins confined All-Ireland

The Millrace Drama Group from Co Cavan walked away with the All-Ireland title from St Mary’s Hall, Rossmore in West Cork recently.

The Millrace Drama Group from Co Cavan walked away with the All-Ireland title from St Mary’s Hall, Rossmore in West Cork recently courtesy of their production of ‘Trad’ by Mary Doherty. Along with the premier award, they also took the ‘best producer’, ‘best lighting’ and ‘best actor’ awards.

The Rasper group from north county Wexford were second with ‘Carthaginians’ by Frank McGuinness and took the best supporting actor/actress awards. In third place were Lislea (‘Rumours’ by Neil Simon) all the way from South Armagh who won ‘best presentation’.

Jacqui Lacey on the Holycross/Ballycahill Drama Group who played Veronica in ‘God Of Carnage’ by Yasmina Reza won the ‘best actress’ award

The adjudicator for the nine nights was Padraic McIntyre.
