Organisers of Clogheen Homecoming Festival put on an excellent show over four fun filled days. The weather held up, attendances were strong and everything ran smoothly.
5ks are the new ‘big thing’ and a nailed on certainty to bring out novice, intermediate, senior and veteran runners.
The free wheel bicycle challenge is an event from yesteryear that was reformatted for festival 2016. There was no shortage of cyclists prepared to take up the challenge and while this event isn’t for the faint hearted (no chains are permitted on bikes), it makes for exciting viewing.
One daring youth sought permission to skateboard the intimidating slope and after some deliberation, he got the go ahead.
