After months of delay, Cork County Council returned to members of Fermoy Municipal District at their September meeting on Tuesday with advice from their legal team, in relation to the rescinding part three of the Gaming and Lotteries Act in Fermoy Municipal District.
“I’m coming back with 99%, I’m not coming back with 100% yet. We have got some legal advice that says yes, that is something we can do,” said Pauline Moriarty, Municipal District Officer.
Ms Moriarty went on to explain that while the legal advice is that it can be done, there are other things that need to be considered – planning being one of them.
