Cllr Declan Doocey is appealing to all members of the public to join in the campaign against the pylon scheme being promoted by Eirgrid.

He said it is crucial that every household in County Waterford sends in a submission highlighting their concerns, before the deadline of 5pm on Tuesday, 26th November.

“The criteria to be submitted is as follows; health risks, landscape and visual impact, land use, geology (soils) and hydrology (water), ecological, archaeological & architectural impact, etc.

“The Blackwater and Bride Against Pylons Group have opened an office on Main Street, Lismore where members of the public can see large scale photographs and maps which have the proposed pylons superimposed on to our beautiful landscape for several of the routes and their volunteers will gladly assist you in completing a submission each day between 12-4pm or you can contact me on 087-2547715.”
