The scene at Glanworth GAA grounds this week, as the facility remained closed due to an incident of Covid-19.

Glanworth and Mitchelstown GAA are continuing to prepare for an end of the month championship match, despite a positive Covid-19 test this week linked with the Glanworth club. 

A Glanworth player tested positive for the coronavirus and has been sidelined, thus causing the committee to follow procedures that mean the club has suspended all activities to prevent a potential cluster of infections. 

They are due to face off against Mitchelstown GAA on July 26 in the first round of the intermediate A football championship in Mallow – but despite the positive test, a Glanworth club spokesman said they were still preparing for the game.
