The Chief Executive Officer of Dairygold, Jim Woulfe, will be in Mallow on Friday morning, 8th April to address a business breakfast meeting at which he will discuss the economic benefits of dairy business to the Mallow region.
Entitled ‘Dairy Business – Economic Benefits for Mallow and its hinterland’, the briefing has been organised jointly by the Mallow Development Partnership and Mallow Chamber.
Keynote speaker, Mr Woulfe will use the briefing as a platform to outline his views on the benefits of the industry for the town and hinterlands which is located in the heart of the dairy industry.
The presentation, which will be held in the Hibernian Hotel, Mallow is open to the business community and members of the public alike and will commence at 8am sharp and run for approximately one hour. Tea and scones will be served from 7.30am.
A spokesperson for the Mallow Development Partnership said it promised to be a very interesting and informative morning. “The growth of Mallow as a strategic business hub is one of the key objectives of the Partnership and the investment to the town by Dairygold in the form of industry, employment and support has a large and positive impact on the future of the area”, said the spokesperson.
“We feel that having Jim speak to the business and local community will provide them with a clear insight into the future plans for growth within Dairygold and the impact of such growth in Mallow”.
Mr Woulfe, who is a native of Ardagh, Co. Limerick and a UCC Dairy Science graduate, has over 35 years’ experience in the dairy industry and has held a number of senior management roles in Dairygold over that period. Jim is currently on the board of Ornua (IDAB) and on the board of governors of Cork Institute of Technology CIT.
Dairygold are currently undertaking a vast investment in Mallow which will represent a new era of expansion for the agri food processing industry in the town and district.
