Celebrate Summer Solstice at Killavullen Farmers’ Market

Our most recent Killavullen Farmers Market was a huge success on Saturday, 7th June in aid of the Mallow Animal Rescue.

Results from the day: Class 1 Best Tail Wag Caroline Herlihy, Mallow with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel; Class 2 Mirror Image of Dog & Handler Maeve Cotter, Doneraile with Rosie the Terrier; Class 3 Best Pet Trick Margaret Hayes, Charleville with Trixie her 13 year old Pomeranian; Class 4 Mysterious Heritage Jo Whitmore with her 12 year old Mixed Breed Poppy.

The Overall Winner (chosen by crowd acclamation) was Maeve Cotter with Rosie the Terrier. The judge was Mrs Christine Mulcahy from Dromahane, representing Mallow Animal Rescue.

Prizes were kindly donated by Acorn Vets, Mallow; Blackwater Vets, Mallow; Paw and Pamper Grooming; Dial a Dog Wash Grooming and the beautiful hamper that was raffled was donated by Isobel Reader one of the stall holders at the market.

The next Killavullen Farmers’ Market takes place this Saturday evening the 21st June, from 6.30am-8pm at the Nano Nagle Centre, Killavullen. It is an evening market to celebrate the summer solstice.

The market will have a great selection of local produce with something for everyone.
