What started out as casual chit chat between a group of neighbours in Conna has turned in to a challenge they feel will build on the positivity around staying at home during the Covid-19 pandemic, while hoping in the process to raise funds for Feed The Heroes.

Paddy Ryan, along with Jonathan Kenneally, Martin Carr and Seamus Keane, who before the restrictions would regularly meet up for a run, are appealing for as many people as possible to get involved in this unique challenge at 10am on Easter Saturday morning, April 11th.

The lads are setting about running 10k in their back gardens with the aim being to get as many pictures, comments etc., on social media while raising money for a good cause – namely Feed The Heroes.

THE CHALLENGE

10k of running and the only rule is that you must do it in your garden no matter the number of laps – fancy dress is optional!

They want as many people as possible to join in and afterwards upload their pictures, videos and comments to their facebook event page at https://www.facebook.com/events/844104042775238/

Donations for the Feed The Heroes charity can be made on the following link https://www.gofundme.com/f/feed-the-heroes

Let’s build some positivity around staying at home!

If there are smaller kids who want to get involved why not have them join in with 1km, or a relay or whatever they can manage.

Earn those Easter Eggs! Are you up for it?
