Castletownroche NS raise second Green Flag

The Green Flag has shown students that by getting involved and being proactive, they can achieve positive things in their community and environment.

Conserving energy and reducing bills has been the call of the day at Castletownroche NS recently, as they had been working towards their second Green Flag for energy conservation, which they were delighted to raise last week.

The Green Schools coordinator, Marcia Howard said that as this was their second Green Flag, she felt that the children had started to save energy almost automatically and the teachers were encouraging the students to bring home what they were learning, so that it would filter out to the family and wider community.
