The long established car boot sale in Castletownroche has been good for the village and good for the area. Despite numerous counter attractions it's still very well supported.

On Sunday next, (March 16) car boot enthusiasts will once again descend on Castletownroche to view the merchandise, meet old friends, have the chat and enjoy a cup of tea - in many ways it's as much a social as business occasion.

While the old stock are always very welcome, the car boot sale in Castletownroche also welcomes newcomers to the trade. There are many bargains to be had and with a bit of rummaging around you'll usually discover some useful item or accessory.

This car boot sale wouldn't be possible without the input of volunteers who turn out in all weathers to do their duty - these individuals personify the true car boot spirit.
