Local TD Seán Sherlock has said that Minister for Sport Shane Ross has questions to answer after Castletownroche and Glanworth National Schools were not granted Sports Capital Grant in 2017.
It is understood that Glanworth NS had applied for funding for tennis courts and a multi-use games area while Castletownroche NS had applied for a community facility.
Suspicion arose in national media this week when private school Wesley College, which was on the list of appealers, was allocated the full possible grant for €150,000 for the resurfacing of the hockey pitch at Wesley College, Dublin.
