Speeding garda cars, flashing lights, blazing sirens and roadblocks – this was the chaotic scene on Saturday evening as gardai pursued a car on the motorway that ended up racing recklessly through the village of Kilworth at around 7pm.
A garda source told The Avondhu that the chase was part of a “high security operation”, as it is known to gardai that burglars who have been targeting rural areas have been using the motorway as a means of escape.
