The MBA are thrilled to welcome back the Busking Festival to Mitchelstown this year. The Busking Festival takes place on August 5th, in Mitchelstown from 12 noon till 3pm.
A section of Lower Cork Street will be closed during that period to accommodate the people visiting the festival. Buskers will play outside various shops. We will also have face painters, balloon makers and hair braiders around on the day too.
The Busking Festival are delighted to have Micheal O’Shea, of Coolnanave and Corpus Christi, sponsor this event. The overall winner will receive a whopping €500, while the winner of each category will also receive €100 each.
The Busking Festival is all about having some fun and creating a street festival atmosphere for locals and visitors to enjoy. Our streets will be full of music with many talented young artists, and we hope you will all pop down to support them.
Buskers, line-ups and performances can be found on the ‘Busking Festival Mitchelstown’ social media page. Dylan Brickley, a previous winner, will be opening the festival this year.
