Greener travel, reducing the carbon footprint and creating awareness about sustainable travel - these have been to the forefront of the minds of Bunscoil na Toirbhirte students from Mitchelstown and now their hard work has paid off, as they were announced last week as the winners of the 2014 School of the Year - Park and Stride title.
A teacher explained that this sets the Bunscoil up as one of Ireland's top sustainable travel schools in 2014.
