Mahon Point Shopping Centre has been unveiled as the new sponsor of the fashion showcase that is the Best Dressed Lady competition at Cork Racecourse Mallow on Easter Sunday. The sartorially savvy lady crowned the most stylish on the day will win a racy €1,500 gift card for the shopping centre.
The blinkers will definitely be off as casting her fashion forward eye over the chic crowd will be Mahon Point’s resident style advisor Dee Kelly Morgan. “Spring has finally sprung, the woolly clothes and heavy layers are no more and I simply can’t wait to see some fresh and vibrant fashion in Mallow this Easter Sunday”, says Dee.
With thousands of fashion conscious customers going through the doors of Munster’s largest retail destination each week, the Best Dressed Lady event will be heavily promoted in Mahon Point in the lead up to Easter. “We’re looking forward to seeing how the ladies of Munster will raise the style stakes at the event”, says Shanti McNulty, Mahon Point’s marketing manager.
Festival chairperson and sales and marketing manager at Cork Racecourse Mallow, Mary Kelly says, “If we get even a fraction of the thousands of people who shop in Mahon Point each week to come to Mallow, it will be amazing. The odds are that the wonderful prize will really get the creative juices flowing”.
One of Mallow’s oldest established businesses, Barry’s Menswear Mallow, return for the second year as sponsors of Best Dressed Gentleman. The man deemed to be most dapper on the day will claim a €500 voucher.
Tom Barry says, “It’s a sure bet that Best Dressed Gent brings something special to Mallow at Easter, with the guys racing for the winner’s enclosure to claim the prize”.
