A boil water notice was issued late last week for customers of the Lismore Deerpark Public Water Supply.

The notice was issued on Friday last, September 17, with immediate effect following consultation between the HSE, Irish Water and Waterford City and County Council.

The notice was put into effect ‘to protect the health of consumers’ on the Lismore Deerpark Public Water Supply, according to a statement issued by Waterford City and County Council.

The measure has been enforced due to issues with disinfection of the water at the treatment plant, the statement noted.
