Known for its quality of brand, the Volkswagen mantra ties into that of what Blackwater Motors strives to achieve in terms of customer service, making the two a strongly paired match.
Recently, Blackwater Motors Fermoy was named the Volkswagen Retailer of the Year 2024, with the local dealership securing the prestigious award having being scrutinised under a range of different metrics.
“Volkswagen is so popular because of the quality of the brand, and that’s true of Blackwater Motors too and what we provide in terms of customer service,” General Manager, Daire Sargent told The Avondhu. “The mantra of both feeds into each other. The level of service we strive to achieve with our customers, the quality of the Volkswagen brand ties into that”.
‘HUGE’ THANKS
According to Niall Cotter, head of Business at Blackwater Motors, receiving the accolade was a proud moment for the management team and staff.
“It’s great to have all the hard work and commitment of our staff recognised with such a prestigious award. A huge thank you to all our amazing customers and friends who make doing what we do so enjoyable every day,” Mr Cotter said.
Providing for the motoring needs of drivers since 1991, Blackwater Motors Fermoy has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry. Among the team, are members of staff who have recently celebrated 25 and 30 years of employment at the dealership.
According to Mr Sargent, many of the staff at Blackwater Motors have over 10 years of experience.
“There is a very experienced team across all of the departments and the award is based on 15 to 20 different metrics that are judged throughout the year,” Mr Sargent said.
This is the second time in just three years that the Blackwater Motors Group have received the accolade. In Skibbereen, their sister branch won the Volkswagen Retailer of the Year award in 2022.
