‘Conversations On A Homecoming’ garnered all the awards for Palace Players

Fans who like the very best of traditional Irish music will welcome the visit of accordion supremo Eoghan O'Sullivan (box) and Ennis native Pat O'Connor (fiddle), to The Village Arts Centre, Kilworth on Saturday, May 23 at 8.15pm.
Not just will you be treated to a wonderful night's music, but it should also prove to be a lovely night of music and banter.
DELIGHTFUL
Pat and Eoghan first met nearly a decade ago in a pub in Feakle during the Feakle Festival, and then played the odd session here and there until finally they had the opportunity to gig together. Their on-stage banter is dry, witty, and delightful. Their tunes reflect the musical taste and depth of the East Clare repertoire, with the flavour of West Cork thrown in.
ALBUM
The duo released 'Conversations At The Crossroads' in 2009. They toured Japan in 2010 to present the album, and followed that with a visit to the North-east and the Southern States for their US launch. The album was recorded in the legendary Crosses of Annagh pub outside of Miltown Malbay, Co Clare, surrounded by friends, family, and kindred spirits, the lads recorded live to a crackling fire in the snug.
The album is at times intimate, like a good conversation over a pint, and sometimes driving, like a brilliant session.
Tickets for the Kilworth gig on May 23 are now on sale from the usual outlets: The Avondhu office, Fermoy (025-32227); Cotter's Bar, Kilworth (025-27109 after 5pm), Hyland's Bookshop, Mitchelstown (025-24528) or call 087-6492514!
