Barron’s feature on TG4’s ‘Blasta’

Barron’s bakery in Cappoquin was featured this week on ‘Blasta’ on TG4 at 8.30pm.

Esther Barron was discussing the famous Waterford Blaa while other Waterford food producers discussed their historical recipes for different Irish dishes.

Barron's Bakery has been operating for five generations and has become one of the most famous bakeries in Waterford if not the whole of Ireland and they are one of the last bakeries in the country to still use Scotch Brick ovens.

Also featured in last night’s programme is Emilene Stafford, from Merry’s Gastro Pub and Bistro in Dungarvan who was keen to see if any of the aforementioned recipes are good enough to make it onto the menu of the restaurant.

Blasta airs Wednesdays at 8:30pm on TG4.
