Following on from last year’s success, the Fermoy branch of Bank of Ireland is busy promoting this year’s ‘Enterprise Town’ expo which takes place in Loreto Sports Hall, Fermoy on October 21st (5pm to 8pm).

This event represents an excellent opportunity to showcase a business or promote a voluntary organisation. Interested individuals/groups are urged to collect a registration form from the Bank of Ireland in Fermoy in the coming days.

The keynote speaker at this year’s event will be entrepreneur, chef, author and television presenter, Rachel Allen. According to Enterprise Town co-ordinator, David Sheehan, the intention is to build on last year’s model and develop the Enterprise Town concept further.

As well as the exhibition space and Rachel Allen’s address, it’s also planned to have a Dragons’ Den dimension. The expo is free to both participants and the public.

Speaking at last Thursday night’s launch, Bank of Ireland’s regional enterprise manager, Geraldine Enright, said that Fermoy was a perfect setting for the Enterprise Town concept and with the necessary effort, Fermoy’s entire commercial and voluntary sector could be mobilised. She urged as many people as possible to become involved.
