Ballylanders National School receives flag and proclomation

Sergeant Ger Troy was dispatched from Sarsfield Barracks, in Limerick to deliver a national flag and copy of the 1916 Proclamation to the national school in Ballylanders.

Members of the Irish Defence Forces are busy criss-crossing the country delivering a full size national flag and a copy of the 1916 Proclamation to every national school.

This gesture is to mark the army's contribution to the centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising.
