The Ballyhooly Arts Festival is looming, and with just a little more than four weeks to go, Ballyhooly is gearing up for it.

RTE correspondent, Eileen Magnier, will perform the opening ceremony on what can only be described as one of Corks cultural events of the year in terms of art, music, photography, poetry and historical walks and many other events.

The art exhibition has become an ever-increasing success so we welcome exhibits from all artists and sculptures this year. We would like to extend an invitation out to artists who work in paint, sculpture and mixed media to come and exhibit their work at our giant art exhibition which was an overwhelming success last year with over fifteen hundred visitors to the exhibition.

Fancy an enjoyable walk for all the family? Starting from the Grand Hotel, Fermoy, along the riverbank to Glenabo then on to the old reservoir for a picnic and from there to Grindel’s Bar in Ballyhooly. Come and join us for our annual walk by contacting Pat Nash 087-9265823 or Eddie O’Sullivan 086-8428384. The walk is being held on Saturday, April 27 and starts at 10am from in front of the hotel.

Our extensive music programme includes Irish acts such as Two Time Polka, Socks In The Frying Pan, The Berea Bluegrass All Stars USA, Hank Wedel, Brothers & Others from Germany, The Down & Outs from Belfast, The Corkers and renowned international poet from USA Bradley Strahan.
