Ballyduff Festival 2014 is up and running and after a very encouraging start, patrons still have two great musical acts to look forward to, in addition to the always well supported gala day which takes place on Sunday next.

Lana Gibson is the big attraction in the hall on this Friday night, August 22nd. Doors open at 10pm and admission is €10. There's more great music the following night in the same venue, when Hell For Leather take to the stage - admission €10.

CELEBRATING 70 YEARS OF ST MICHAEL'S HALL

On This Thursday night (21st August) the public will get a run down on the events that have shaped the contribution of St. Michael's Hall - a Muintir na Tire inspired facility that has served Ballyduff parishioners well for the last 7 decades. This promises to be an informative evening - it starts at 7.30pm and everyone is welcome.

SUNDAY IS GALA DAY

A bit of luck with the weather will be required for Sunday's gala day in the community field. There's always a great range of activities and all age groups are catered for. There will be an U5s tent, water obstacle course for the older children and a country market, in addition to a live performance by the Bride Valley Band. While on the sporting front, there's tug-of-war and sheaf throwing (for the Mike Whelan Shield). Lots of other attractions will be laid on.

Local D.J. 'Bear' is in the hall that evening to bring the curtain down on festival 2014. Events of this kind are all about participation and the entire community is cordially invited to join in this weekend's activities.
