Monday night next (Aug 19) sees Irish/Australian R&B stars ‘Finn’, take to the stage of The Village Arts Centre in Kilworth for waht should be a great evening of fun and nostalgia.
Headed up by their leader Jim Finn, these are our old style honest-to-God musicians bringing us the best tunes that include the best guitar solos. Heralded ‘the last of the travelling minstrels’, Finn are individuals plucked from a generation where being a musician had nothing to do with auto tuning, reality TV shows or even choreographed dance moves. 30 years ago, when being a musician was about honing your craft, travelling the country, delivering it to where it was most necessary, Finn were touring! 20 years ago when MTV grabbed the music industry by the scruff of the neck, Finn were touring as they were 10 years ago when the digital revolution kicked in!
