The community in Araglin was deeply shocked at news of the untimely death of Michael Feeney of Doon which occurred at Cork University Hospital following an accident.

Mick, as he was affectionately known, had a few days earlier, been cutting trees that had fallen during the recent storm when he suffered injuries to his hip. He was taken to CUH for treatment where he died suddenly on Saturday.

Former ly from Barnahown, Mick who was single, was a true Araglin man with a great affinity to community and to his family and relations. He will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Pre-deceased by his parents John and Mary, he is survived by his brothers Tom and John, sister Ann, nephews, nieces, relatives and his many friends.

Following Requiem Mass in Ballyporeen Church on Wednesday, Mick was laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. To his sorrowing family, we extend our deepest sympathy.
