Cork County Council has received a planning application for a large-scale restaurant on Patrick Street with the intention of joining three shop units together.
The application entails building numbers 21, 23 and 25 – namely Price Savers, the former premises of Xtra-vision and a similarly vacant site to the right of these units – and has been made by Hannas Market and Cafes Limited.
The application is for ‘the partial change of use from retail to restaurant with associated ancillary areas, to construct a new shop front including signage and lighting with external seating on Patrick Street and make alterations to the rear facade and footpath with new plant platform and screen on the existing flat roof at first floor level’.
Hannas Market and Cafes Limited is owned by David Ryan and George Burke and is registered in Fermoy.
