Another great year for Bel Canto choir

2013 has been another great year for the Bel Canto choir, as they performed in a number of concerts to support worthwhile charities and got to perform with some great artists.

2013 has been another great year for the Bel Canto choir, as they performed in a number of concerts to support worthwhile charities and got to perform with some great artists.

Again this year, they had the opportunity to perform at the Corrin Event Centre with Phil Coulter. They also sang in Mitchelstown Caves, raising €3,000 for Tipperary Hospice and that cheque will be presented to the hospice this Saturday night at the Corrin Christmas concert.

Bel Canto also took part in the annual lighting up of the Christmas tree in Marymount Hospice and their CD in aid of the hospice is still being sold there to raise more funds for them.

Last Saturday held another highlight for the choir, as they performed with Frank Ryan and Linda Kenny at The Grain Store in Ballymaloe and the final events of this year will take place in Corrin this Saturday and at Mass in Mitchelstown on Sunday evening at 7.30pm and because they will not be in a position to do a concert in Mitchelstown this year, there will be carols for about 15 minutes before and after Sunday's Mass. 

On Saturday, their performance in Corrin will feature Linda Kenny ( Soprano), Frank Ryan ( Tenor), Bel Canto and Kevin Hough (RTE Lyrics Board ) will be the narrator, with everything written and directed by Cathal MacCabe.
