On Sunday, October 8 in Lahorna Co. Tipperary, Cork had another successful weekend winning the U12/13 Munster 60 x 30 competition.
This was a fifth Munster medal for some of the boys this year. They also won a gold medal and the Michael Tyrrell Perpetual Cup in this year’s John West Feile na nGael 2017.
An outstanding victory for our young players Cian Cronin O’Neill, Ben O’Sullivan, Hayden Supple, Cameron Swalbe O’Sullivan and Darragh Henley all from Fermoy club; Darragh Murphy, Eoin Daly and John Cronin from the Ballydesmond club.
Cork defeated Tipperary 72-40 in the semi-final. In the final Cork had a convincing win 72-48 over Waterford. The Cork boys go forward to the All Ireland semi-final on Saturday, October 28 in Kelfane, Kilkenny.
Cork meet Monaghan in semi-final 1. In semi-final 2, Kilkenny have a bye and in the final Kilkenny play the winner of semi-final 1. Best of luck to all the boys on the day.
Well done to Rhys McCarthy for taking part in the secondary school competition last Sunday. Best of luck to our U12 boys presently playing off for the Cork county and the Cork team in the 40 x 20.
Training for juveniles in Fermoy Community Centre on Tuesday 6.30-7.30, Saturday 11-1. Training cancelled this Saturday, October 28 due to matches.
