Acting, Dancing & Singing Summer Camps in Fermoy!

From the time Annmarie O’Riordan began singing in public, she realised where her future lay and as she progressed and heard her recordings being played on national and local radio, the next real big step would be to sing in Carnegie Hall in New York. That is a peak she has yet to reach but if her enthusiasm and stage show is anything to go by, then we can safely assume that dream will be realised in the not-too-distant-future.
Judging by the amount of interest that is being shown in her upcoming concert at The Village Arts Centre, Kilworth on Friday, July 5, she can expect to add another batch of fans to her ever increasing fan base.
She is fast establishing an increasingly popular singing style. She recorded her first song as a 12 year old on CCÉ’s CD ‘Down Erin’s Lovely Lee’ and two years later, recorded her first CD ‘Harmony Handed Down’. Her second CD came two years later and there was an even greater response to this one. It included the atmospherically reflective ‘Cooraclare’ and ‘This Story I Tell you is True’.
Her latest and hugely sought after CD entitled ‘Ireland – Love of My Heart’ is receiving remarkable acclaim and can be heard on radio stations worldwide. Her superb backing group includes Tony O’Flaherty (playing a vast variety of instruments), Brendan O’Sullivan (on fiddle and viola) and Seán Hickey (on button accordion).
Booking now open for the Kilworth concert at the usual outlets - The Avondhu office, Fermoy (025-32227), Cotter's Bar, Kilworth (025-27109 after 5pm), Hyland's Bookshop, Mitchelstown (025-24528) or call 087-6492514.
