Angus Premier Show & Sale in Kilmallock Mart

The Munster Branch of the Irish Angus Cattle Society held its Premier Show & Sale in Kilmallock mart.

The Munster Branch of the Irish Angus Cattle Society held its Premier Show & Sale in Kilmallock mart on Saturday 5th of April.

There was a steady trade for Angus bulls. A total of 35 bulls were sold at an average price of €2,350. Top price of the day went to Matthew Goulding with Goulding J.C.B fetching €3,650. Champion bull was exhibited by John Lynch, Kilmallock. Potanes Kian was unsold @ €2,900. Reserve champion, Goulding JoJo, exhibited by Matthew Goulding, sold for €3,400.

A small number of females were exhibited. Champion & reserve champion came from the Mercury herd of John and Shane Murphy, Banteer. The champion sold for €2,200.

The judge was William Stroker from the renowned Kilteevan Angus herd in Roscommon.
